What smash needs is some sonic speed!

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a character no one expected made their Smash debut.  Sonic the Hedgehog.  After the console wars between Sega and Nintendo, no one expected Sonic to appear in a Nintendo game, and now he's in one of nintendo's most popular franchises and has several nintendo-exclusive games.

Sonic's power left something to be desired in Brawl.  his lightning-fast attacks hit quick but not hard, and he could get your damage up quickly. In the fourth smash game, his power was increased, making him even more of a threat.  His smash attacks had extra launching power, his aerials could hit you farther, and his speed remained unmatched ... well, except for the train in the spirit tracks stage, but they couldn't make him too fast, otherwise he would be overpowered or uncontrollable.  A good strategy when playing as sonic is to use all his attacks to your advantage,  use the dash attack to  deal multiple hits, or his spin dash to do a little bowling and get out of there fast.  his up smash and side smash attacks are best for finishing them off.  the up smash deals multiple hits and does more damage, while the side smash has a smaller range of attack, but launches them really far.  if you get knocked into the air, don't panic.  Sonic's got amazing air attacks.  his forward aerial is a drill that does a lot of damage, while his down aerial sends you hurtling toward the ground to kick your opponents in the head.
While an amazing character, sonic does have his weaknesses.  mainly, projectiles.  he doesn't have any projectiles himself, and his spin attacks are stopped cold by them, which makes Mega Man the perfect Sonic counter.
